I can’t live without

THESE THINGS

My baby

Canon 6D Mark II

I’ve had this camera since 2021. It’s a very decent camera, never had any trouble with it. It’s also very good for video. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good dependable camera.

Why my videos look so smooth.

Feiyu SCORP Mini Stabilizer

I’ve only had this since June 2023, but it changed everything. I used to grab videos during shoots with my camera in my hands, trying to hold it as stable as possible. But, anyone who’s ever tried filming with a DSLR camera knows that even with an internal stabilizer in your lens, the results just look like sh*t.

I decided to get this ‘mini’ stabilizer because it’s easy to take with you on photoshoots. It fits in a camera bag and it’s not heavy.

Why my photos look the way they do.

Canon 40mm Pancake lens

Almost no one uses this lens and I have to be honest. I was actually looking to buy a 35mm prime lens when I stumbled upon this beauty. I decided to buy it and I absolutely don’t regret it. It’s unconvenient to do photoshoot with this little pancake on your big camera, but it gives you the chance to get a bit more than just your subject into the frame.

I have no doubts. You’re gonna love this lens. And, it’s extremely affordable, too.

Why my interviews sound good.

RØDE VideoMic GO

Ever since I’ve been doing interviews with my models, I’ve been using this microphone. Of course, every DSLR has a standard built-in mic, but the sound quality is often poor. Especially when you’re filming at the beach or any other windy location.

You just put it on top of your camera, plug in the cable and you’re good to go. It weighs literally nothing.

Price-quality wise, this mic doesn’t disappoint.

How I film the action.

AKASO Brave 7 Action Camera

I wanted to buy a GoPro, as everyone does when they are looking for an action camera. However, after a quick internet search, I found out that Akaso make great action cameras for half the price of a GoPro. I checked out some reviews and comparisons and decided to give it a go.

It works really well, also underwater. The only negative might be the battery life. It comes with two batteries, though (unlike most GoPro cameras.) You can always get more batteries if you’re planning do to really long photoshoots, but I’ve always been able to get to the end of the shoot using just the two that come standard with the camera.

How I get my BTS footage.

SmallRig 360º Ball Head Mount

This is what keeps my action camera on top of my Canon. I use it during my photoshoots to film the model while she’s posing for photos. This way I’ve got extra behind-the-scenes content afterwards. Not expensive, but definetily a game changer!
